OOC PLOTTING: WOLFIE CAME UP WITH TOO MANY EVENTS THIS MONTH AND IS SORRY

That said, this OOC plotting post exists for the latter 3 events. I will try to make this make sense.
HAPPY SUB-EVENT:
Some of you are aware of this, but players who responded to my unhinged request in August to "fuck with you guys in your IC inboxes" received some cryptic plot shit. For people who want to be in the know, here are the (completed) threads in order:
This was originally going to be a player-led event, i.e. the mod team would not be doing SHIT and if y'all didn't want to do the Summoning The NPC On The New Moon thing on your own time then idk they'd just die in the woods or smth and the game would move on. And then Add scared Nene, a major NPC, off into the woods, and I quietly realised that September was going to kill us all if these things weren't combined. So!
I am no longer murdering my players and we are going to shove off Forestquest until October. Ok thank you for coming to my ted talk.
THE RITUAL/NEW MOON SECTION OF THIS EVENT (edit: running in September):
As always if you have feedback on anything in the game/how events are running, please feel free to throw them into our mod contact post! We are trying to include everyone in the plot as much as we can/as much as interest is there. Wolfie is sorry for being unhinged this month. She will calm down in the future (source needed).
- a volcano
- a cryptic-ass NPC
- a happy sub-event after the volcano
- and a smaller plot-relevant mission
That said, this OOC plotting post exists for the latter 3 events. I will try to make this make sense.
HAPPY SUB-EVENT:
- An in-game week after the volcano event (so, technically, legally, the 8th if I had to put a date on it), a comfortable feeling of warmth and love will settle over the Grove. No longer will it feel like total despair, at least for that night and into the following morning. Characters will feel happier and lighter overall, even if they burned alive/had their friends die/lost an eye/scared Nene off into the woods/etc etc.
- Lanterns will be released into the night sky from all around, including from inaccessible areas outside the immediate Grove. The Shopkeeper and Trader will have additional lanterns that characters can write wishes on and send them into the sky. :) Please tell me what ur wishes are :)
- Small animals will begin to appear. These will remain for the duration of the event and will leave once daylight hits, running off into the fog. They are friendly, and will bring each player character one small (no larger than your hand), non-magical, sentimental object from home. This is left up to player choice. They will also stick around to play with everyone, and can be spotted doing basic "chores" around the Grove such as cleaning up some debris, bringing people forage-able mushrooms and fish from the river, and attempting to, erm, run the Shopkeeper and Trader's businesses while they're busy with the lanterns. They accept tips in headpats, thank you.
- Negative effects from player characters will not work during the night this event runs. That means Toge's cursed speech, Felicity's bad luck aura, Mizuki's hallucinations... I forget if there are others apologies, anyway those will be suppressed. Feel free to just Exist.
- Also there will be food. It ain't a party without a feast.

- Zahliya specifically told four of you to "summon me on the new moon" and then fucked off. This was then spread around during the fammeet. Mizuki has the deep lore on how the summoning would work, please bother Mizuki for it. It's easy I promise.
- Player characters NOT involved in Forestquest will be involved in Newmoonquest unless they simply choose not to do it, which is a fair decision. The initial summoning will be fast-and-loose...
- ...the plot that follows after it will not be but that's okay. :) I don't want to spoil too much about it, but hopefully some of you know how to fight and some of you also know medical things.
- This one is meant to be player-led, unlike Forestquest which is mod-guided. I will simply sit back with my hands in my lap and let chaos unfold.
- Congratulations, plot things are happening!
- There will be limited sign-ups for this event for 1-2 player characters. This is our first attempt at a mission-styled event, which will be mod-guided, on an expedition through the fog into the greater parts of the forest. You can think of it running like a TTRPG.
- This is something that is mostly spearheaded ICly by Add. Add's castmates are banned from doing this please someone else have the lore.
- Signups are below and on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Because of how this event works, the next time there is a mission-styled event, players who signed up for this event will be de-prioritized for signups for other limited sign-up events that may run in the future, so that it's fair and other people can have a chance at cool lore-related missions.
- Lavvy has all the info in a comment below, please bug her with your questions/concerns/signups/shrieking thank u for participating!

BB writes like a million misc things from like clothing to very descriptive complicated coding items for a computer system.

- For everyone to stay safe, be happy, and have hope.
[ Then she notices everyone is writing a few so she kind of just finds ones everyone writes, and begins to braid some threads together. They kind of look like knots with a long braid attached to each wish, likethis. She creates many onto the ones she hopes can get granted.
She braids Fel's wish, Elsword's wishes, Mizuki's Wishes, Some of BB's, Gnosis, and Chungs. If anyone else makes wishes after this post, mainly genuine and innocent ones. She will probably make a braid to add to the wish. This signifies her desire for this wish as well - that she hopes and wishes for this wish to come true too.
The talisman she makes, is her hope that it can.
