OOC PLOTTING: MONSTER MASH (GRAVEYARD SMASH??)

SETTING UPDATES:

You guys have had a productive month, despite me trapping you in Cyberpunk 2077! Good job!
- Beiwe’s Church has been moved from the forest to the North Grove, right smack dab in the middle of it. It was initially in ruins, however it has been repaired and is now fully operational. A more detailed summary is on the locations page, but in short:
  - Corrupted or those willingly working with Suri cannot enter it, as they will automatically be blocked by Her will
  - The middle of the church has a pseudo-arena space for battles, because it’s Beiwe
  - The rooms in the back contain a kitchen, dining room, and a room for making pottery including pottery wheels and a kiln
- Luca has resurrected Sehul! Oops! They are currently just walking bones and do not exactly fit in the Grove, the buildings are close together and they are 100ft tall. They will be spending their time on the beach.
  - I have Yet Again bumped up the height limit barrier. It is 200ft. Hold me to this: It will not change again. I keep forgetting how large my creatures are.
  - Sehul also has the original protection circle on the inside of their skull, and their resurrection has significantly strengthened that in tandem with the existing barrier and other hidden circles being quite strong. The turns are tabling!
- Dion has figured out that Suri’s constructs can be poisoned. :) And Shadow Milk found out how to do A Lot Of Damage. These items were shared at the most recent family meeting.
- Renard has been rescued (untreed)! He’s walking around despite the fact he should not, but lives out of the General Store for now. He will probably at some point ask Sesa to borrow the workshop so he can make sickass swords. He has a rat in his shirt pocket named Jennie, and probably knows Too Much about where magical items and artifacts are hidden, considering he came back with at least ten of them.
- The Heimr’s children from the manor are still snzzzing.
- Sinann can take person form now, since they’ve been fully strengthened. They will make this everybody’s problem.
- The fog wall has been strengthened, and Suri’s constructs are no longer able to slip into the Grove, barring super extenuating circumstances such as someone physically going into the forest and forcing them through the barrier (don’t do this). The fog wall is also white again and will not automatically harm you when touched. The Golden Glasses are still needed to traverse its paths properly; I’ve given you guys some leeway in the past with this but we’re going to make this a requirement going forward. No more accidentally stumbling into the plot.
Neo Eden is gone, goodbye Neo Eden. As a reminder you’re allowed to take one (1) item from it, be it clothing, a box set of movies, an espresso machine… as long as an adult can physically carry it without struggle. Again, you cannot have a car.
The mushrooms fruiting in the forest have gotten worse. They have spread beyond the fog barrier and into the accessible woods to you guys, and when stepped on, a spray of spores may have mystical effects…

PLOT UPDATES:

Hi. You’ve been waiting for this event for (checks notes) like 4 months. Hope you got your monster-lovin’ bones ready. (Also this month is a TDM!)
Curious characters who wander into the forest and step on a mushroom may be subjected to some monstery transformations. They can either be very painful or completely painless depending on how you want to play it; we just ask you use appropriate CWs as always.
- If it was not incredibly obvious I based the mushroom sporing transformation thing on an episode of Dungeon Meshi, and if you haven’t seen Dungeon Meshi go watch it. Our habits of getting sent Cease & Desists will not abate.
As per the last few posts, we do have rules for how the monstering will operate, outlined below for ease:
- Your monster can be whatever you want as long as it’s not too massive (i.e. don’t be a 200ft giant). Your monster design cannot be overly mechanical; some mechanics like a cyborg are allowed, but no TVs for heads. Keep it within the setting’s typical low-tech constraints.
- Whatever monster design you want does not have to be animal based or plant-based, you can be an eldritch horror if that appeals to you.
- You cannot gain new powers (if you become a cyborg you can’t suddenly shoot lasers if you couldn’t before). Basic powers such as wings that give you flight, being a vampire lets you suck blood, etc, are okay. The ability to shapeshift into a smaller form (i.e. if you decided to make your monster very large) or to change forms (i.e. from merfolk to humanoid) is okay as well, so that you aren’t bared off from buildings.
- You can choose to keep your existing powerset, or scrap it/parts of it. The only stipulation we have is that you cannot gain powersets (exceptions are noted above — if you aren’t sure, ask). We will not be allowing hard swaps in powersets either, i.e. if your original powerset says you can use fire magic but you wanted an aquatic design, you will not be able to waterbend instead.
- Those of you who are dragon-blessed do not have to incorporate your dragon blessings into your design if it would interfere with the ~aesthetique~; you will retain the dragon blessing powers either way.
- Those of you who are Corrupted MUST include the Corruption damage/motifs still, however.
- The marks left on your person by the Gods (Suri or the lesbians) will remain, if you have them.
- Personality changes to match your monster/transformation type are not expected, but allowed and encouraged! Dietary changes to match are fun as well, but again, not required.
- Multiple transformations are allowed, since these are mushrooms in the woods that you step on. This is also the way to reverse the transformation. Story wise this is “random” and not based on your will; OOCly obviously you can do whatever you want.
At max, the transformations will last 3 months — May, June, July, and end at the beginning of August automatically. You can, again, end this early by stepping on a mushroom. You can opt out entirely by Not stepping on a mushroom.
There isn’t going to be much “““““plot””””” this time around. We want this first event to be more sandboxy, while everyone gets used to being a creature. That said, we will throw interactable things into the background for everyone so that we’re not entirely boring you. This will be a Vibes Month since we’ve had so much back to back plot.

OOC UPDATES:

All the now-contactable NPCs will be bumped up on the NPC Contact page. It’s getting pretty long, so we’ll probably look at reorganizing the page again soon. You guys are doing a good job at rescuing people. Aurora’s real name, Freyr, will be included on the page — she will go by either name, she thinks your new name for her is cute.
Related to NPCs, we’ve had pronoun blurbs under each NPC for a while, but we’d like to remind everyone that they’re there. We know we have quite the robust cast all around and would like to help everyone avoid confusion, especially because we don’t expect you to memorize every single character. Let us know if there’s anything more we can do to help with ease of navigation.

Plans: It is FINALLY time for Be Nice To Loop Month (Real)(Not Clickbait)!!!! ignore the fact that they're still dealing with the loss of two close castmates and now also ANOTHER close friend, they are totally fine yup no therapy needed anymore!!!

Loop is going to get monster'd early on and they are thrilled to have a mouth. They will also be a bug the size of a banana but this will not change their mind, May is a GREAT month they will be having the time of their life.

They will eventually get sick of struggling with doorknobs and being tiny and try to change into something else... buuuut that will either be very very late May or June, so u all have to deal with them being an obnoxious ratbugfairy until then.

They are also gonna be helping with the star disease plotline stuff as... much as they can... which isn't all that much since uhhhh they might die from getting too close to the infected!! but obviously they have good reason to be invested in this. If anyone wants an in on that particular plot I would be thrilled to have Loop get more characters on board.

harmacy) who was passive aggressive as fuck and put a brainchip in his boyfriend and then ??????? went to live in the woods for science. he is still out there, you are not safe. but THIS Add is active aggressive as fuck, and he put cyborg shit in himself, so it's all very different u see. He will cause problems and continue to be a menace to society until I, the player, am stopped.

Anyway, Add really really likes robots/machines, has a ridiculously edgy backstory (parental abuse/neglect! slave trauma! trapped in a spooky library for many years in isolation! thinks his kukuku laugh sounds cool!) and basically like to act like he's some kind of scary intimidating supervillain when actually he is a massive weenie. He is all bark no bite please do not be scared of him, he is lonely and desperate for anyone's approval. Nerds and sciencefolk please @ him. If you have a robot limb or w/e he may or may not grab u out of nowhere, I have an opt in/out for this pls use it thank u.

Plans: looks at the relationship drama still exploding after fammeet, uhhhhh ignoring all THAT mess for now,

Add is still settling in!! And maybe not having the best time of it, but he is trying his best. He'll be bringing back a (nonfunctional)(for now) robot minotaur from the Neo Eden trip so that'll be his fun background repair project for the foreseeable future. If your character likes robots maybe... they can help?????

He's going to be helping the portal plot stuff as well because hey he actually does have a lot of experience with this, but also I tossed him in late so like I'm just following what everyone else is doing. Add is just Here as needed. Dynamo will help moving things they're very good at that.

As for monster tf stuff... I am sitting on TWO dumb ideas. Dumb idea #1 is that Add is not going to get mushroomed, but he is going to unintentionally get a dragon blessing and then just assume that must be from the mushrooms??? he needs cute dragon horns and a tail to wag but i refuse to give them up. He's gonna be real salty when he doesn't go back to normal later, probably, and then he'll get over it, probably.

Dumb idea #2 is that Dynamo is going to get mushroomed, because I think it would be incredibly funny for there to just be a clone(?) of Add hanging around confusing people. Dynamo is very polite and nice actually enjoy while it lasts!!! They also haven't had ???? a face in like 10 years so uhhhhhhhhh they are going to give a lot of creepy stares sorry they are Observing. Also not used to having one body instead of a hivemind occupying six bodies... or things like eating and breathing... another consequence of this is that Add doesn't have functional weapons anymore so. You can bully him but it will make Dynamo upset and they WILL cry about it. You wouldn't wanna make Dynamo sad, huh????

Ain is an angel and was previously trying to hide it... He's no longer trying to hide it like he does in canon because there's No Point to doing that. Anyway, largely his goal back home was to stop the world from ending (done) and defeat the evil cult that wants to end the world (in progress), and also he's made of God Rock Substance (the El) which in this game's terms basically means he's made of nuclear energy I guess. I don't know how to explain Elsword to people anymore, I've been here 15 years—

Ain is a healer, he's sweet but can be passive-aggressive and generally loves to fuck with people, he has a difficult time grasping emotions often, he has an anxiety disorder, and his definition of friendship is incredibly nebulous. Some of you have already gotten this but Ain very rarely registers negative CR, you can yell at him all you want but he'll sit there like :D we're friends! because his canon group of idiots are always arguing about something and this is just friendship to him. He... has only been around humans for 5 years he doesn't get it, okay.

for Stix: Ain runs the tailor shop and lives in the bunny bakery with Ezell. He likes gardening but he doesn't help maintain any greenhouses, he's just having fun. Despite being a healer he doesn't work in the clinic much anymore, he's largely focused on other things. You can come to him for healing still but he won't really be in there much.

Plans: looks up. so the first thing i have to say is: Ain has nuked like 1/2 of his major CR this month because he's Pissed Beyond Belief at Add and Wolfwood (such that they've currently been demoted to Mr. Ancient and Mr. Priest again oops) — to the point where Ain has deemed them not on speaking terms right now. I don't know if that will continue into May so TBD on that, but!! I need to throw him at diff people so he doesn't explode.

Anyway the depression arc got temporarily solved and now it's back on in force, so he's back to being unfun ig.

Creature-wise... I never finished his full ref but Ain will be a Peryton/weird deer! He was supposed to have a little outfit but all I did was colour block it, I never drew the faun form he can shapeshift into... etc etc art and me still have a tenuous relationship. There's also a version of that design with my design notes/personality changes on it.

Of the weird creature things I want him to get up to this month they are:
- Spring sproing deer hop in the woods. Eat leaves off the trees. Eat flowers. Generally be kind of weird.
- Lay in the grass with his harp and play music like some ethereal creature
- Sew everyone monster-friendly clothing

Anyway, maybe being a deer will get him over his depression arc (coping).

In future months I might utilize his siren and biblically accurate designs I've made him but we'll see. For May he is a deer.

Character: Flamebringer
Canon: Arknights

CR:
Flamebringer... sighs. Okay. Flamebringer is a Sarkaz ("demon" but that word is also a slur for them) (he will get Touchy about this) from Kazdel, which is where a lot but not all Sarkaz are from. Kazdel is a shithole of a country, like they don't even have flowers there it's real bad. Formerly, he could hear the voices of other dead Sarkaz and could feel their emotions/see their history, but that's no longer the case since he's been canon updated to Chapter 15. He's a little :| about his brain being quiet rn.

Flamebringer himself is someone who views any battle that isn't life or death as a waste of his time/abilities, and he's a "one-man army" archetype. His ultimate goal is one day to find a fight so good that he can die happy in battle, in this pseudo-suicidal way. He's not actively seeking them, but you have to be Worth Fighting in his eyes for him to raise his blade. As his name hints at, he's very proficient in fire-based magic. He's also Infected with Oripathy (stage 3 now due to Suri) (this man is dying actively, essentially at the point of no return now). For the new folks here Oripathy is basically cancer, but with rocks. Cutting yourself on the rocks on his skin will transmit the illness; he normally keeps them bandaged as much as he can, but the ones on his face are now unruly and hard to deal with without bandaging most of his head.

Kazdelian Sarkaz are the Arknights equivalent of Jewish & other Abrahamic religions, and they aren't even trying to hide this fact with FB because he wears a Star of David necklace. If you ever ask me about this factoid I will go on for 2 hours you have been warned.

As for Stix: He runs the tat/piercing shop, he lives in the bunny bakery with Ezell who is his fiancé and he will kill for, he helps out in the greenhouses... Suri took his left eye from him via Oripathy nodules growing into his optical nerve and severing it. Due to his Stage 3 Oripathy he's usually in intense amounts of daily pain, and sometimes hacks up shards of it in private. His worst nightmare is dying to this, so :')

Plans: flamebringer is also currently mid mental breakdown funny how that works, anyway Chapter 15 is really rough. In short he essentially found out that one of the leaders of the landship Rhodes Island died, Kazdel is yet again leaderless ~~Kazdel's history is pretty rough usually other countries attack them and kill their leaders and prompt them to have civil wars etc so this hits hard, even if their former ruler SUCKED~~, Rhodes Island itself was blown up and hundreds of patients onboard died and any Operators like him who were living on the landship were effectively rendered homeless... he doesn't know if any of his friends from back home survived the blast. Luckily the war between Kazdel and Victoria has ended but he's still not *happy*.

So with that in mind, he will be pretty pissy all month, and if he's not directly attacking someone he will simply be moping.

Good news is: he gets to be a critter! Specifically a panther-taur. He will have kitty ears and they will flick sometimes. He has predator brain and might start chasing around anyone who reads as prey animal to him, sorry. This especially mostly means Ezell. He is going to chase his fiancé. It will be fun.

He will also be very large and will not have the ability to shrink himself down to fit in buildings or anything, so he will be sleeping in the garden outside the bunnkery.

Not Seeking: despite playing an antagonistic character i DON'T feel like going too hard into the neg CR/fights this month, please let me vibe april has been real bad CR-wise for like 3/4ths of my characters

sidebar: his event is coming out on the global arknights server in another month and there's a chance they're going to re-spell his real name in the localization, zzz pray this doesn't happen.

CR: this man owns my entire fucking brain about 45% of the time PLEASE help. anyway-

Thorns is a lot of things. In short: Pharmacologist, toxicologist, very smart but tends to unintentionally cause explosions whenever he's working, not very well put together (generally his shirt is inside out/backwards, he's missing a shoe, pants unbuttoned, hair fucked up, might've forgotten a sock... you know, the picture of a man with severe ADHD), doesn't care for his appearance, oblivious... also has a metal arm but it's Not a prosthetic it's just alchemy components that fused with him (it's complicated). His perms post on his journal has all his powers, it's a sort of ridiculous set. Most importantly he knows how to sail a ship and was Very Briefly a pirate before he instead became more of a seafaring reconnaissance & supply runner for Rhodes Island. Just know that he is not above doing a crime if it means that crime winds up serving the greater good.

Very specifically he can use his cool alchemy arm for various things (outlined on his perms page in the powers section) but the most important is that he can just. find shit with it. like a compass, or a dowsing rod. Surprise it has compass abilities. if you need shit found please hit him up.

Thorns also code switches very frequently. Any Spanish (Iberian) he speaks will be translated in hover text. Sorry mobile taggers this will be super unhelpful for you.

He is also Aegirian (Sea Urchin specifically) and like Mizuki, has ties with the Church of the Deep, except unlike Mizuki he fucking hates Seaborn and is very much struggling with the fact that y'all like them. He can slightly hear the Call, which essentially means he's been corrupted enough by being fed Seaborn secretly as a youth that he's slightly turning into one and joining the hivemind, so he tends to steer clear of the river and lies low when the evolved ones are flying.

He has an friend with him too, aptly named Baby. Baby is a type of land-faring fishlike creature known as a Salt Scale and responds to commands and orders like a dog.

for Stix: Thorns currently lives at the inn and conducts experiments there. He briefly borrowed the clinic to run experiments on himself re: his Corruption... this did not go well but he's essentially made a biochemical weapon (yay?) that he will totally use and I will not forget he has. His goal was to reverse engineer the Corruption into a Suri poison. He will "work on this in the background" but he will not be successful because he is a mod character.

Plans: the boy needs more CR i will throw him at whoever and see if he sticks (haha, get it. because. because sticks and bones. do you get it? do y)

anyway for the monster mash I am super not going to finish this art sorry, but here is the concept sketch. Thorns will be an Alraune based on various carnivorous plants, except all the plants on him will be black (bc he is Corrupted), save for the rafflesia base which will be a golden colour like his neurotoxins + eyes normally are. He very much will be eating with the sundews & fly traps. You can feed him at your leisure by walking up and slipping a french fry in there.

Since it will be very hard for him to move he will probably root himself down in various areas and Not Move For Many Hours, he does not have legs he has a bunch of thorny vines to walk on. If you make the mistake of walking by him with food he will try to steal it with his vines. Very sorry.

Character: Gnosis Edelweiss(-Silverash)
Canon: Arknights

CR: Gnosis is a Liberi (bird) (specifically a black-necked crane) who does A Lot Of Science, like Technology Is All He Cares About Sometimes, mainly preferring to stay indoors and be introverted and keep to himself so he can work. He is Very Autistic and has a mansplaining problem. He and Enciodes are married. Back on Terra, their homeworld, they run Karlan Trade, which is a trading company stationed in Kjerag, and Gnosis is also the speaker of Kjerag's parliament. Very important-seeming for a guy that wants to sit in a chair and rot with his science all day.

I'd say at this point he has a pretty strong relationship with people here but to the new people: Sorry he hasn't introduced himself much if at all, he is again Very Introverted.

For Stix: He sticks to the lab doing research, and he also lives in a small living space off to the side of it. Between him and Enciodes they have Unci and Tenzin, respectively a (now adult) (she growed up) snow leopard and a hunting hawk, but Gnosis also has two weird fish in his lab that he takes care of — one of them a betta fish that's Just an eye with fins from the Alpha Mart event, and the other a Peeper from Subnautica from that event. He loves his freak-ass fish. He also went through an alcoholism stint but he's largely trying to quit now, do not make him relapse we're manifesting good health for him.

Also in the lab is a quarantined cutting of the God Flesh from Mizuki's player plot. Gnosis should not have this. He absolutely has this. Do not touch it (like, at all) (especially without asking me).

Plans: I did not draw Gnosis like I said I would :') Anyway, his monster is (drumroll)

...based on Hel! I don't know what to call it! I guess I'm just going to leave it at "death god" but not actually a god for obvious reasons. I waffled forever on which Norse deity to pick and then just landed on this so as not to repeat genres across my monsters this month RIP. Anyway.

Gnosis will essentially look like he has very long, flowing black robes that are tattered and fade away into constantly falling snow. His hair is also super long, fading away into white at the tips. It will drag behind him a little bit. I am not taking his feathers away so his feathers will be also extremely long, especially the ones on his head and tail. Fucked up long horns, glowing eyes, claws, black limbs... that's kind of the gist of it. sorry I wish I had energy to draw.

CR:
Passenger is a Liberi (specifically a passenger pigeon) (which are extinct) who (checks notes)... is Columbian (American) but spent a majority of his life starting from childhood in Sargon (nebulously "every Arabic country that exists"). Part of that life was spent with his mentor Thorne NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THORNS ABOVE I KNOW THIS IS HARD, who was killed by a Lord Ameer ("Sargonian guy with a lot of political power/status"). Passenger then spent TWENTY YEARS!! TWENTY FUCKING YEARS!! on a revenge plot that involved burning the city & black market of Ibut — which he built up with his own hands — to the ground, while said Lord Ameer was trapped there. He started this revenge plot when he was a child. Also detonated an Originium bomb part in his hands which is how he got Infected with Oripathy (rock cancer). His Oripathy causes severe emotion and personality loss since it's almost directly in his brain, and despite only being Stage 1 the medical professionals on Terra really don't think he'll live that long. He's also pushing 40 though so lmao.

He has an unhealthy obsession with Sesa/they are engaged yaaay, and he has a childhood version of himself living in his brain who talks to him. I simply refer to him as "Little Elliot". If you can read minds or etc you might get to hear him talking, he's a nice boy. Passenger is not.

for Stix: Passenger lives in the workshop with Sesa and owns the Magic Lamp. He is otherwise pretty quiet; technically he works on machinery and lightning-shooting devices and things like that, but since he gets unattached to his projects quickly (unlike Gnosis) I rarely bring this up. It's safe to assume most of the time he's putting his creative impulses into food instead, because there's simply no need for him to make 1 billion scrap projects here.

Past Life Plotting Toplevel: pigeon

YEAH THAT'S RIGHT I'M COMMENTING ON THE PLOT POST THIS TIME (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Character: Stan Pines
Canon: Gravity Falls, Limited Edition Deer Country flavor!

CR: Stan is a local Weird Old Man. Your character has probably heard like a dozen stories about him that are all somehow true but also sound like absolute bullshit. He and his family were in Deerington for a while which became Deer Country, so to make a long story short he has fun blood magic now. His magic is fire-based and shows but as blue flames, but it can also corrupt him if he doesn't keep an eye on his mental health. Other assorted skills include lying, taxidermy, corrupt business practices, and Bad Jokes.

Plans: BIG PLANS. Stan here is going to step on a mushroom and he is going to make him corrupt (Deer Country edition) into a big smokey fire dog with lots of eyes. I have another reference somewhere where the flames are blue that will go in the actual top level/log/whatever, but he's going to be a little more...monster-y as a result. He's a little too big for everything, and he will leave patches of smoldering grass everywhere he goes (sorry Moder) but mostly he will be prowling around, trying to hide, and growling at anyone who gets too close to him. The vibe is he's a big scared dog who doesn't know or understand what the hell happened to him.

Thankfully all of this can be undone, right? Weeeeeeell. Sort of. The monster dog part can be undone! But Deer Country Corruption is undone through taking care of yourself mentally/letting other people help you out/resting/maybe even therapy. So while you can probably trick this big old dog into stepping on a mushroom a second time, the result you're going to get is a VERY stressed out and skittish Stan with ashy skin, a few too many blue eyes, and faustian burns here and there (plus some fangs and claws!). Much like Stanley the Big Smoky Dog, Stan at his highest corruption level is scared of this thing happening to him but also lashing out about it - he'll be more irritable and easier to piss off, but also you might catch him in some moments zoning out before snapping back to attention in alarm.

Despite this, he could probably use some contact with his CR while he's recovering and maybe y'all can even FINALLY convince this man to get some therapy - or if you wanna try befriending a giant dog that's literally made of fire on the inside, that's an option too. Or if you're looking for a way to get hurt, that's doable too! Hit me up!

Not Seeking: I'd say romance but I don't think any of you want to romance him anyway. :V I'm also going to say that since the solution to de-monsterifying him is really simple, I'm not looking to actually kill him if at all possible. If it ever happens again WITHOUT an easy out then sure, but not this time. Feel free to fight him though, if you want!

Anything Else: I'm also open to new CR if anyone wants their first impression of Stan to be this whole mess.

I'm actually kind of into the idea of someone who doesn't know him all that well encountering him, especially since he'd going to have to deal with the fallout next month and UGH how EMBARRASSING the kid who wanted to spar with him saw him in the middle of a bullshit magical mental breakdown!!!

If we wanna steer it away from just smacking each other though, we could always come up with another reason for them to have an encounter. Like...idk, does Bakugo have anything he could try and steal maybe? He hasn't gotten to run off with something and try and bury it in fire yet, haha.

Oh i like that, i was gunna say we can always rp him losing and attempting to get away from the beast he provoked(stan). atm bakugo was able to fight at least two gods so meeting something that basically wont respond to him and only act out of defense? would make him realize that something else is going on here and that he cant just try to fight his way through it/stop it in order to make sure they both are coming out of it ok/alive too

YEAH and honestly? It's kind of important because if things hadn't lined up the way they did, Beast Form is actually supposed to be really dangerous to be around. There's a few reasons I have in my back pocket for why he's not throwing people around like chew toys indiscriminately but like. This is still something that he can point at and be like WOW HAHA FUCK I COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEBODY.......

CR: Min-Gi is a music boy so I am always down for CR in that area. Otherwise I'm not fussy! I'm good with both positive and negative CR. Min is perfectly capable of being polite and does try to be, but he can also be abrasive and is struggling to adjust so both are possible.
Plans: Mermin! (Thank you, Chi.) His tail pattern is obscured in the art, but it looks like this. The barbels are a very loose nod to this guy. I'm opting out of giving him a humanoid form and he will be living in the river for most of May. It's uh. Probably a little shallow to be that comfortable a home, but oh well. At least it's wide.

For the sake of not having him immediately opt-out and mushroom himself back I'm saying that part of his changes will include being more or less comfortable with his fishy form. But! By the end of May or so he will be enlisting help. Therefore I'm looking for one (1) volunteer to assist with plopping him down on a mushroom. He may also need some help getting to the river in the first place. The exact timing of him becoming human again is up in the air depending on how much fun I'm having and if there's anything tempting me to let him come back to town.

CR: Looking to befriend or adopt a local tsundere who has anger issues, having spent his now 18 years of life, filled with promises of greatness that he himself put hard work and effort into becoming and reaching towards. That he, recently, got slammed and told he will never attain greatness? And then shit happened that made it truth.

So now his anger issues are all over and, he feels guilty about everything.

I offer you a troublemaker who means well, and earnestly cares about being a Hero, but does not have the personality of one. Despite his delinquent personality, he will follow rules, try his hardest to be good, and do his best to help out when he can, even if he doesn't want to. He prefers beating up bad guys. He is very stuidous and is a fucking nerd, despite how much of a dumbass bully he is.

Plans: Him emo, sad, trying to figure out his not gay feelings for a guy he wants chasing him for the rest of his life. Normal straight man feelings.

CR: A 28-year-old ex-prince who would be the Archduke of the Grand Duchy of Rosaria right now if his mother hadn't sold them all out to the empire for one corn chip 18 years ago. Dominant of the Phoenix. He has been in frail health his whole life. He can cast fire magicks and can heal someone from the brink of death, and can also transform into the Phoenix if need be. But if he does any of this, it will advance the lithification of his insides, so! He's grounded from all of that right now! Oops.

He's a huge nerd, very bookish, well-spoken and polite. He is very kind and treats everyone equally, and it is very hard to get on his bad side. He is also a bit stubborn (it's a family trait) and can sometimes be a little eager to venture off in search of knowledge in places that may or may not be entirely safe.

Plans:

Joshua will still be working on the portal project this month! And he will be working on it until it's done tbh. He is still sort of reeling from his brother's disappearance so it's going to give me a perfect opportunity for him to accidentally step on a mushroom and poof into something monstery.

Of course for maximum funny I am going to start off the month with him becoming a vampire and going "well that did nothing" for a whole ass hot minute until he realizes in one way or another. But I have plans for other forms for upcoming months, also, so stay tuned!
