outofsticks | DREAMSCAPE PLAYER PLOT UH PLOTTING

Hello Stix!! This is Jami here with a player plot that your mods have given the green light. That is right, this is the plotting post for the Dreamwalking event I have been cooking up for a little while. So! Here are the details:

Dipper is going to go on a little sea exploration at some point around July 15th. He’s going to encounter something that is going to spiral his powers out of control and the result is going to plunge most of the Sea Base into a dreamscape.

This means that for however long Dipper is out of commission, reality around the base will be submerged in a dreamlike pocket dimension. A big Deambubble if you will.

As a result, players are welcome to explore other characters' dreams, nightmares, memories, and whatever else. As a dream, reality is dodgy, and operating on Gravity Falls’ dream/mind rules means that if you can think to do it, it is also malleable and manipulatable.

The base will remain in the state until Dipper is recovered from the crazy horror-induced dream coma he’s in. Which means Dipper needs to be rescued in order to stop the nonsense. This can be done in a few ways! You could kill him. He can be woken up, possibly by someone with magic or psychic abilities, or, finally, by recovering Dipper’s green pendant. The pendant contains a strange liquid and if someone thinks to make him drink it, it will wake him right up! Neat!

To get to him at the center of the dream there will be a trail to lead to him. He will be protected by a manifestation of his mind.(it’s Moon Presence. Get ready for a bloodborne boss nerds) getting past that and waking him up is the goal! Good luck!)

In the meantime have fun with your crazy dream/memory/mindscape event!! Of course this is opt-outable. It should only run for a short time, and anyone who doesn’t want to participate can assume their character was either not affected somehow or just asleep the whole time! I will also post a containment log for the event though of course people can interact with it however they like!

if anyone wanders into passenger's dreams you can meet the child in his brain (it's him! but tiny), but i think if he dreams at all it's usually contemplation of like. who he would've been if thorne hadn't died, contemplation of events, etc. his dreams are not weird they are a little sad

ain's dreams are just of elrios back home and his friends — time to go on adventures in literally anywhere, i'll throw the demon realm amusement park at you if you want

if you had CR with Elsword Who Was Previously Here you might be able to glimpse this ain's version of Elsword who was markedly different than the one here. tl;dr this shitty mmo has canon-AUs for all the characters, the Elsword i played here was a canon-AU, the Elsword that Ain knows is the canon-canon version, i know this is confusing just ping me in hyperfix and i'll explain why these people are eeveelutions

right now my only idea is baby fel (the babiest fel even, before she even was abandoned) so. who wants baby fel! she's going to be SO excited to have company, won't you read with her? or play! she's... got a teddy bear but you can share! ... don't worry about the bars on the window, or the fact that the door is locked and has no handle on her side of things. it's... you get used to it. just don't leave?

a lot of nightmares about the witch's banquet, of dark enchantress cookie, of her own sins. who wnats to see her accidentally damn her school staff. maybe a peaceful walk through the field of lilies, too.

congrats on your free idol concert tickets- otherwise, it's likely there's going to be stuff about her insecurities as a regular girl in this fucked up place, as well as her bullying trauma. its probably fine.

Ah well, these are not nice dreams for the most part, so we'll focus on the good ones. Him as King in a Citadel of Gold and things of that nature. His subjects love him for his kindness and generosity. It's also all mostly Cookie based so enjoy! You're a Cookie! And he's so benevolent he will grace you with whatever your heart desires! Wait what do you mean that's Golden Cheese Coo-

This man don't sleep. When he does doze, it's never deep enough to dream (especially not anymore). Feel free to call him out on it because it will be super obvious here.

Enjoy your pure dreams of a dog in an open sunny field with a Noise monster fast approaching oh shit this is no longer a fun dream it's time to ride or die but luckily you have powers and it's more like a giant video game pew pew! It's a dream, it doesn't make sense.

So if anyone wanted to learn a possibly uncomfortable amount about Timekeeper...

She's no longer accustomed to paying attention to her physical needs, but here in the Grove she can't just hold herself in temporal stasis forever so oops, she needs to sleep and will perhaps conk out whether she wants to or not! But she's also not very good at realizing when she's dreaming, so she may very well need someone to come shake her lucid enough to help save Dipper. Here's some dream options for plotting:

Time rifts/temporal abyss! The space between timelines that Timekeeper normally spends her free time in, an unsettling, brightly lit vast golden space filled with clockwork and sewing tools. It's very dangerous. Also she lives here. Good luck finding her before finding yourself trapped in a time pocket or something. Might include getting sent through various parts of cookie history.

The Time Balance Department! Oops, Timekeeper hasn't told anyone that she's the Director of a secretive cookie organization tasked with maintaining the timelines, because why would she, it's a secret. Welp, you might find out. Hello new employee the Director herself is here to make sure your onboarding process is as weird as possible. Also you're a cookie now.

Or... you might meet someone who doesn't seem very much like Timekeeper at all. You might find yourself in a battered garage, talking to a young cookie who is eager to tell you of her dreams and aspirations, to answer your questions about the timecraft she's tinkering with. A cookie who perhaps seems strangely familiar, deep in your soul. Maybe you'll get to go on a time adventure with her. Maybe you'll get to meet her friends. Maybe you'll get to see when it all went sideways.

All of Siffrin's dreams will be in grayscale, taking place in a labyrinthine, castle-like building. The building itself and everything inside is dark and seemingly inverted in coloring, and it's haunted by monsters called Sadnesses that will attack on sight. They come in a variety of forms (and you can make up your own if you'd like to better fuck with your own characters), but all are crying and surrounded by Tears. Touching any of the Tears left floating around will freeze you in time and require rescue from someone else. You can treat that frozen state as a dream within the dream!

Throughout the dream, you can hear sobbing in the distance. One may encounter the source of the wailing in the form of the King, who is huge and armored and has an enormous amount of hair spilling all throughout the upper floor of the building. He'll likely seem to be stuck on replay, looping through the same scene over and over again. The scene involves him crushing a child in one giant fist, sorry to anyone who has to see that.

Also, there's a chance of hitting a random empty void anywhere in Sif's dreamscape, and it brings with it a horribly empty, lonely feeling. This area is haunted by the Mal du Pays, an inverted-shades Siffrin that will just stare and cry and scream in complete silence. The only time it makes sound is when it uses the voices of your loved ones, speaking all your worst fears about what they think of you. It's totally impervious to damage and can only be escaped by someone else dragging you out of the void. Enjoy!
