- Kiera built us a barn. It lives in the north of the Grove, Wolfie will update the map when Wolfie has a second. You can house livestock here, as well as catch random biblically accurate animals and stuff them in here. Since the barn is owned by Kiera/Weasel, please ask Weasel’s permission before you start stuffing your own animals in there, unless Weasel wants to give blanket permission. Do not assume, do communicate, etc.
- Heimr’s human now! Or human enough. He’s not sure. The name “Aldric” when referring to him is no longer garbled, but it’s also just not who he is anymore.
- The Alpha Mart is gone, and the doors are unscrambled. Mr. Bone-Jangles returns to his cryptid status of only showing up during mod-mandated silly time. We miss you every day king.
- ? ? ? That’s it, we had a chill month last month and no one broke the setting. If we forgot something though… you know where we’re at, we’re happy to edit.
PLOT UPDATES
- Spring is in its heights and flowers are blooming everywhere! Butterflies and bees are everywhere, plantimals have stared sprouting accommodating flowers if they haven’t already, and those who are Corrupted may find their flowers seem more vibrant and lively without their suffering.
- The fruit trees and bushes seem more full of life as well, and relatedly, Rusty is taking it upon himself to bring residents of the grove baskets of fruits and berries… though you might have to keep him from eating the spoils of his harvest.
- But it’s not Aldric’s Grove without something going… wrong. And come nightfall, every night, a shimmering purple mist wafts into the town. Though it doesn’t come into any buildings, looking at it makes you want to step into it, and stepping into it grants you a lovely vision- a perfect daydream, even! Where everything is as it should be.
- In reality, as you move through the dream, you will be waltzing right into danger, only to be pulled from the brink of an imminent death at the last minute, with the dream fading. Maybe a Guardian saved you, or maybe you just managed to avoid stepping into Callan’s lake, but a death you would have happily walked into is only narrowly avoided.
- The worst part is, with every venture into the mist, the stronger its pull the next night is. Good luck!
- You’ve asked, and we’re answering: this month you’ll have prom! Not that… any of the natives know what Prom is. As what should be the equinox approaches, one night a friendly spirit will enter the grove to escort everyone to a secondary location. Fancy outfits, fresh food, a fountain, and even a dance floor under the most beautiful moonlight will be waiting. We assume you’re going to pick your own prom dates, but if you’re feeling unhinged, matchmaking services are available by pinging us in the mod discord.
- If you play hankey pankey at Prom, you will be physically thrown out of the venue by a bunch of spirits. Do not do the horizontal tango on the dance floor, take that to the woods or your houses. Points at our eyes points at yours.
- This month also doubles as a TDM month which means ? ? ? TDMers get Prom, congrats!

Anyway, not sure how the mist will affect him yet because Gnosis is weird like that, I think his happiest dream would be his wedding night (audience awws) and just reliving that over and over. The man is too paranoid to think anything else nice could be real. The dream mist like "I will tempt you teehee heehee" and Gnosis is like you're right I am tempted but the more idyllic shit you show me the more uncomfortable I am. SO. If you want to be rescued from tripping balls by Gnosis lmk he tends to be good at this.
And as for prom you'll never believe who he's going with wow (he will do platonic dances and/or eat the party food with you) (spoilers there will be food there ig)

As for prom you'll never guess who his date will be— more platonic dancing is available, Passenger can teach you Sargonian dances "doesn't he hate his homeland" yes but it's like in that way where Americans hate America but it's the culture so you don't get away from it, don't make me use metaphors at 10am. Learn Sargonian (Arabic) dances. He will be dressed nice probably.

Status: felicity has been stuck in the depression mines for months now, all the way up into her month-long nap, where she did indeed sleep through the entire amount of time passing icly. (actually to her it will have felt like two months. always remember time is fake and nothing is real.) however she is going to be feeling much better after this so i think everyone goin thru it should take a month long nap actually.
she's also recently learned that she is a Star and not just a normal witch. who'da thunk. she also is interested in the moon goddess and all things related to it, such as the moon seance, the church and... well, she actually wants to learn more about stars here since ydalir has star magic and the star shards, and the stars are apparently on earth and with shrines.
she'll also be wandering around as a cat for attention and affection because despite the mood boost she still feels immensely disconnected from others and has no intention of like.

Status: I haven't finished the quest yet icly, but I hope it's alright to assume that he'd regained Miss Christine and...he's pretty much spending all his time with her. Yeah.
Aside from that, god knows what Phantom is up to in his spare time, even in Aldric's Grove. Not even Skade-sensei has any clue, apparently.
Seeking: I have two quests/plothooks I've been meaning to pick up soon (terribly sorry that I had to drop off the face of the earth suddenly for the past month or so), namely the cabin in the lake (ft. Livio and Mizuki if you guys are still up for it), and the one regarding the moon church thingy, also with Mizuki.
Additionally, I guess not much? I'm just probably going to try to do some silly, light interactions in order to slowly get back into the groove.
Not Seeking: I don't think I can handle any other plothooks/plot-relevant quests at the point, so I wouldn't go chasing for more. I think I'd also rather avoid threads that are too angsty or taxing, be it emotionally or in terms of time and energy, so...I'm definitely just going to take it easy.
Oh, and still no romantic and/or potentially sexual interaction(s) for Phantom and me, please.
Anything Else: I'm setting Lucian's permissions post as private at the moment due to reasons, although I hope I can get it back up for the public to read again soon. Though, essentially, the same rules applies; if you haven't gotten the chance to read the og permissions post or would like to clarify some points/ask about certain things, my PM is open.
On an RL-related note, I'll be pretty busy this week and next weekend I have a con to attend (this week too, but casually), so I might still be slow despite being off-hiatus (+ timezone reasons also, ofc). I hope that's understandable.

I lied, because yet one more thing: for the upcoming tdm/Sticks prom, he'll be up for a platonic dance (hopefully his not-boyfriend is coming for a...not-so-platonic one), so anyone who wants a dance with a Victorian gentleman, here's your chance. Status: PV spent the month of April realizing Clotted Cream was gone, finding said boy (or what was left), getting his soul back after doing something PV will always worry and fret and regret over, trying to Cope Over It All.... then having the child come back to life anyways. He's been having a not good time, truth be told! The man is spiraling. Not that anyone else is ever going to know until he goes and does something wild.
Like give his Souljam to the Gods.
Seeking: Which leads us into this. He is going to be joining Felicity in a Seance (and whoever else I guess) to the Moon Goddess, and he will portion out a bit of his Souljam to help strengthen her. Who wants to come to attempting to revive Moon Mom! But he is also going to give the remaining portions to Beiwe, and two others. His Souljam can technically be broken into 4 parts, so that's what he's going to do. So who wants to join him on that fun time adventure that surely wont have any consequences.
He'll also dance with whomever wants to dance at Prom, he's easy going and he once was a King so he at least knows how. Cut a rug with Jesus.

Status: Honestly, he's just been chilling. He had a blast in Alpha Mart and already misses it, tentatively feeling things out with Josh, and just trying to get used to country living. Cause this guy is a city guy and boy howdy living in the "country" is weird. Sure, he sometimes ran around in the wild as a Werewolf on the Peninsula but uh. Also he's living in the Inn still and that feels weird, he's used to a big house with many rooms.
He is planning something for! The Summer Equinox! Because! The Sun Is The Highest Then! It's going to be a Beiwe Bash. Something akin to the Tanabata he would throw in Ryslig, but strongly focused on Worshiping Beiwe (and to lesser extent Ourania and The Guardians) to empower her. There will be as much sun themed stuff going on as possible.

Status: Sesa got fucking DUNKED ON in Alpha Mart last month but it was more for comical reasons than anything serious going on, so he's fine. He's spending a majority of his time inbetween his workshop and the rec center getting things set up and taken care of. This is mostly my fault I've just been slow in April so he didn't do anything actively but rest assured it's been going on in the background.
Seeking: Sesa is going to the prom with Elliot because they are Dating and they are Gross but he will happily platonically dance with others because he loves himself a good party. I don't actually know if he can dance, probably not. So do so at your own peril. He'll be wearing some traditional Sargonian fare of some kind that will make him look very hotsexy, I cannot find this one outfit Wolfie sent me once that she said he should wear but I'm envisioning that one, I'll link it if I can find it.

Status: Wolfwood is!!! Managing!! He's been without a leg for a full month since reviving from his death back in March, so he really has kindof just kept to himself for the most part (and because I've been slow I'm so sorry). He's been focusing more on just recovering and not doing anything else to piss the Forest off, my man has been humbled and he is not having a good time about it. He's going to be getting a prosthetic leg from Gnosis sometime in May, so you'll be seeing him using that and getting used to it. It's still going to be a while before he's back to semi-normal, for obvious reasons, but he is Here(tm).
Also! He just recently purchased a pair of Tomas chicks which are currently living in Kiera's barn. They are small, bright blue little chicks that kindof look like baby emus from his world. He'll be focusing a lot of his time on raising them alongside Livio and Vash, I will probably post about them either on their own or on the event post.
Seeking: Stupid interactions at prom pls, he's obviously already going to be paired up with Vash and Livio BUT please feel free to drag him into shit because otherwise he is going to just sit by the wall and drink all evening and that's no fun.
