Name: Silent Salt Cookie

History: Once, Silent Salt Cookie, formerly known as the Salt of Solidarity and Lord Commander of the knights of Kala Namak, lived in the land that would become Beast-Yeast alongside his fellow virtues. Where his fellow virtues served as rulers of both Beast Yeast and beyond, the Salt of Solidarity rejected such titles and lived as an equal among his people. As each virtue one by one disappeared, apparent usurpers rose up, seemingly vying for control of the vacuum left by their former leaders. Famine and conflict began to spread, surrounding his home on all sides. Aware of the trouble emerging, the Salt of Solidarity sought out Elder Faerie Cookie, the two men deciding to work together, and would eventually learn that the Virtues had not disappeared, but instead fallen from grace. Together, they decided to create new virtues in their place. At the same time, agents of the former virtues began working to take the land of his home, conspiring to cause his beloved people to turn against him. Led to believe that their strife was caused by the Salt of Solidarity’s attempts [which they perceived as turning the world against them], a large group of his people were all too eager to fall into the trap. Together with their conspirators, the knights of Kala Namak were all but wiped out, leading the Salt of Solidarity to strike out in turn, forever blackening his visage.

Returning to Elder Faerie, he begged his fellow cookie to use him as a catalyst for a spell to seal the virtues turned beasts, at the cost of being sealed away himself. As such, he was eventually released during Shadow Milk’s efforts to escape. He was then confronted by White Lily Cookie, and after a battle of wills and might that nearly destroyed the latter, he eventually saw her as worthy of carrying his dream for freedom for all cookies, and swore himself to her.

Personality:

✽ What is your character's main motivation? What drives them and keeps them going? At this point, his primary motivation is serving White Lily Cookie. He does not believe himself capable of carrying out his own goals anymore, largely because he feels he has been too corrupted and stained by his own actions of killing those who he used to care for. Thus, after swearing himself to her, he is determined to act as her blade and do what must be done to pave the way to the future he feels unworthy of.
✽ What is their biggest regret? Why? Not realizing what the usurpers and the Beasts were planning sooner/not acting to stop them before it could happen. The result of his failures was the deaths of countless, not to mention additional suffering of the people he beloved so much.
✽ What is their worst fear? Their greatest comfort? His worst fear has honestly been realized on multiple fronts. First, something happening to those he protects. Since they were corrupted and consequently killed by him, he has failed in this duty. I suspect he also fears losing his faith/contact with his creators, which he has also lived out in that the witches no longer communed with him.

His greatest comfort is knowing that White Lily has now taken on the cause, and will hopefully be able to do what he could not — secure freedom for every cookie. That, and his honse.
✽ Top three strengths?
+ Sense of Compassion. Though he may do his best to seal it away, Silent Salt is a bleeding heart. He spent his existence dutifully serving the people of the Barren, doing all he could to secure peace for them even as the world was falling to chaos. Those who served him in the knights were the same souls he had saved.
+ Honor and Equality. Unlike his fellow virtues, Silent Salt did not believe himself the ruler of those within the Barren, but instead its equal. He served as a Knight Commander of the Knights, and valued their lives deeply.
+ Physical Prowess and Power: Silent Salt is a capable knight, capable of massive and deadly sword strikes that cut so deep into the ground, the bottom could not be seen. Even after giving up half of his Soul Jam, he was still an incredibly powerful adversary whose devastating blows killed many in an instant. Through him, Elder Faerie was able to summon the requisite power to seal away the Beasts.
✽ Top three weaknesses?
- Value in himself. Silent Salt believes himself to be fully stained by the actions he took in the Barren. Even though the betrayal of his people was brought about by the active machinations of others, he still does not believe himself worthy of any sort of redemption due to the “blood” shed by his own hands.
- Trust in others. It was not until there was irrefutable evidence before him that the Salt of Solidarity realized the Virtues had turned against the world. Up until that point, he felt it was more believable that something had simply happened to them, and that the threat would come for him next.
- Self-Sacrificing: Having watched all that he loved fall away, Silent Salt became all too willing to want to throw himself to the wolves. He willingly sealed himself away for his “crimes,” feeling that he had tarnished his own dream. He did not even want the knowledge of his life and what good he had done to be known, leading his legacy to be little more than that of the traitor he believed himself to be.

✽ What was their last lie? “I will not let anything happen to you,” probably.

Inventory: -A whole ass, giant suit of armor
- A big fuckoff horse the size of a clydesdale

Abilities: + Excellent swordsmanship skills, resulting in powerful strikes. In canon these are said to be able to reach across an entire room and cut so deep that the bottom cannot be seen.
+ Horseback riding. He is able to fight astride his steed, Nox Black Salt, without considerable effort.
+ Significant pool of magic/strength: After Elder Faerie mentioned not having the strength alone to seal the Beasts, he urged his friend to cast the spell to him, claiming that he would seal them away with his own hand. This powerful spell, summoning four divine forks to skewer the Beasts, proved to be successful.
+ Longevity: Even before being sealed away, Silent Salt Cookie had lived a significantly long life. This longevity is seen in other Souljam holders as well.
+ Jam to Jam communication: Able to communicate with White Lily Cookie due to their shared soul jam, while also have a general sense of his fellow Beasts (discussed with current players already and will continue to adjust and monitor as needed)
