SETTING UPDATES:

Autumn rolls in full force, bringing fallen leaves, the constant scent of chai coming from Ydalir’s tent, pumpkins growing out of control out of the roofs and walls — wait what
The circus is there one moment and gone the next, with not a trace left behind, including the labyrinth of kidnapped cities underneath it. That patch of the woods remains empty for a while, until a house springs up there mysteriously. A sign on the door says “BONE-JANGLES HAUZ! COM IN GET FUD”. Inside the house is Mr. Bone-Jangles, his bone wife, and their six bone kids who are full-grown adults. They will make you any meal you want, including things from your homes or others homes. As you leave, you get a bag of microwave popcorn and a large chocolate bar. Trick-or-Treat! The treat is being loved.
It’s October though, so that means: The Plot™.

PLOT UPDATES:

The truck that crashed through the forest last month remains, and the people driving will help you pack supplies for the trip. They warn you to pack light, as the truck has limited room and will have to make multiple trips no matter what. Those of you who are particularly fast (i.e. can run at truck going through difficult terrain speeds, or can fly/float) might be able to keep up with it if you’d rather.
- The truck can seat up to six people; two in the back seat and four in the bed of the truck.
- Once you’re at the destination, there will be no return trips for a while as others are brought here, and you’ll generally find it hard to return the second you arrive even despite the truck coming back. Not impossible, but hard. You’re given free run of the area, though. Speaking of where you are…
Welcome to Roseroot (source needed)! Roseroot is a beautiful city north of the mountain range that Zonari gets all her rocks from (you do not remember passing through the mountains) (that is a mystery for another day, friends). It’s a wealthy, affluent area where those of you who have past-life memories of being from here may know as “bougie” and “well-developed”. Per its name, it is covered in roses, all bright and beautiful and in all sorts of colours, including colours that don’t actually happen in Earth roses. All the houses and businesses are empty, though the businesses in particular will still serve you via mysterious means that are impossible to figure out. You go to a restaurant and the food spawns in front of you, the clothing stores basically allow shoplifting, etc etc. Per our JRPG-ish vibes, there’s nothing super technological (it’s nothing like Neo Eden), but it’s still well-developed.
- You can sleep wherever you want in the city — reclaim someone’s house as yours, sleep at the park, go to a hotel, etc.
When you go to sleep — and you will, you will go to sleep, even those of you who can’t/don’t need sleep — you dream, and every time you dream, good or bad or traumatic or nonsensical, something pulls itself from your memories and manifests somewhere in the city. These are monsters made of your traumas. Yet again, our Trauma Monster Generator™ will be operating (pats Amity on the back) for player ease.
- The traumas have a range of behaviours; some wander and try to hunt you down, some stand perfectly still and only move if approached, some stalk, some wait in place for you to find them. Some hate the light, some hate the dark. All of these traits depend on you and what you bring to the table.
As the days pass and you dream, the city becomes more and more dilapidated, with many buildings and shops crumbling, others cracking at the foundation, and most if not all buildings will be largely reclaimed by plantlife by the end of your stay. It’ll be colder, dirtier, with the showers refusing to work for those who are particularly unlucky and food getting harder to come by when the stores suddenly experience mass rot.

After the first night of people sleeping in Roseroot, which is totally the real Roseroot and not at all a fake planted by our BBEG, the city will become more difficult to leave. The more monsters are around, the more the entrances to the city get obfuscated, move locations, or completely disappear. Characters within the city will have to deal with them somehow. Luckily, they’re killable, unlike the fear monsters.
Characters will be able to leave on their own and find their way back to the Grove once they either a) find an exit or b) kill enough trauma monsters to allow a natural exit to exist.
- For now, we ask that people hold off on “after escaping Roseroot” type prompts/logs, because of the Situation With The Mountains. :) We will elaborate on that during a mini-event mid-month.
- “Where are the NPCs?” Oh, you see, the situation with the mountains… :)

OOC UPDATES:

At some point in the future Wolfie will run Ydalirquest. For our new people, our quests are sign-up based, plot-heavy explorations, and usually have a hard limit to how long we let people take between responses (normally 24 hours per mod response to keep everything moving, unless something happens to the mods or the players). If you don’t reply in that 24-hour period, the mod response comes and the thread moves on without you. They are often large group threads, and we politely advise that if you doubt your ability to keep up with them, that you do not sign up. This is for the future but just a note: it’s being thought about finally. Get Ready™.

Please describe your character's TRAUMAS, different from the fears of last month. Remember a fear is "starvation" and a trauma is "as a child I was starved to death in the mines".

the trouble with relatively normal, well-adjusted middle-aged characters is your traumas are just sort of quietly implied by background info

What I've got is:
Odile was probably bullied as a kid for being visibly mixed race. It probably sped up her ascent into nerdom which probably got her bullied even more

Her mother left them when Odile was old enough to be hurt by it. idk when or how she found out, but she knows her mother never wanted children so that's pretty ugly

Entirely possible she was also bullied for not having a mom

So one of the big ones is that he was in a café when a volcano started erupting and a blazing hunk of rock crashed in front of him and he got a real good look at burning mangled bodies.

A minor one is that he got dragged into the earth by skeletons. They didn't hurt him but also thats scary as fuck and he didn't know they weren't trying to kill him.

He got to see Rinne and Niki's dead bodies specifically after their gems were smashed, and the fact a DIFFERENT Mayoi popped up after the first died still haunts him.

Annnd the other I think you can use is! He had to face his already established fear of water to dredge the lake of corpses that were still uh. Alive (?) They looked at him, they were suffering through drowning but not allowed to die. He had to free them so they could die and be at peace and it was horribly traumatizing for him.

In canon he also was bullied over being biracial and an otaku to the point he pulled away from people entirely and gave up on having friends

Gatekeeper threatened to kill him once when he and the others in Alkaloid were looking for a way to get Tatsumi out of Sabotaging Trickstar during the SS but that's been a little lowered on his traumas considering everything else.

I FORGOT TO MENTION also he was left behind while the island he was stuck on crumbled into the blood ocean and he had to survive both the volcano and an earthquake until he fell into a chasm and into the void.

And he went from that directly into an active battlefield

Character: Firefly / Sam
Canon: Honkai: Star Rail

Firefly was once known simply as AR-26710, a clone created purely for the purpose of fighting in a war against an enemy known as the Swarm. After a truly horrific battle that left everyone else dead, Firefly did a big Power Up to destroy the remainder of the Swarm and her entire planet along with it, which was already desolate and destroyed at the point anyways. Afterwards, she went drifting along in space before being found by her found family, joining in with them in the hopes that Elio, the leader, could help her achieve her dreams.

You see, she suffers from a condition known as Entropy Loss Syndrome, a side effect of her being a genetically engineered human -- or more specifically, a intentional failsafe put into her DNA to make her expire past a certain age of development so weapons like her couldn't fall into enemy hands. Slowly but surely, you become disconnected from your physical body, until you simply cease to be, fading away completely. The only way to slow this down even a little is with the SAM (strategic assault mech) suit, which is literally a robot suit she uses that also is how she acts as a weapon. But, it also acts as essentially a medical cabin that keeps her from progressing too far in her disease too quickly. As a result, she is keen to do anything and everything she can to find a way to live.

Nowadays when working with the Stellaron Hunters, she takes on the persona of Sam when using her SAM suit, who uses he/him instead of she/her like Firefly. Sam is a different kind of personality than Firefly, colder and more soldier-like, a sort of trauma coping mechanism to protect Firefly, the self she wants to be the most, from having to do the hard things that she has to do as a Stellaron Hunter (he doesn't have a 9.723 billion credits bounty on his head for nothing). I consider them to be like a dual persona situation, a mental divide.

You will see both Firefly around and Sam around, but for now, they will not associate themselves as being the same person so Firefly has a chance to pretend to be normal like she desperately wishes to be.

Plans:

Firefly will have TWO types of monsters going around for everyone's fun.

1) There will be other people looking around the same age as Firefly who also look identical to Firefly (with the exception of different haircuts, different accessories, different voices) wearing plug suits all around by the end of their time there -- towards the beginning, all the mannequins in storefronts and such will just suspiciously kind of look like her. They will act kind of like baseline monsters where they don't sort of "activate" until you come close to them, where they will sort of be like dolls that creak and crackle and either start moving or pull themselves up off the ground to slowly chase you. They are dangerous in numbers, not as much as a single unit. They only speak if Firefly is around, saying things like "you let us die", "you didn't protect us", etc. By the end of their time there, most will default be splayed on the ground all over looking dead, but they aren't.

2) "The Swarm is a mass horde of diverse insectoid creatures with the sole drive to propagate and spread."

Go here for some example pictures of Swarm enemies! They're also pretty big, and can hide invisible if they choose. They will start in small numbers, but slowly spread throughout the town during the end of their stay. They will swarm you and attack if they see you.

Firefly and Sam will probably react extremely negatively if you try to hurt the Iron Cavalry Knights, even if they want to hurt you very much, but Sam will be actively hunting and killing Swarm, most likely.

Character: Ain
Canon: Elsword
CR: Ain is an angel and was previously trying to hide it... He's no longer trying to hide it like he does in canon because there's No Point to doing that. Anyway, largely his goal back home was to stop the world from ending (done) and defeat the evil cult that wants to re-end the world (in progress), and also he's made of God Rock Substance (the El) which in this game's terms basically means he's made of nuclear energy I guess. I don't know how to explain Elsword to people anymore, I've been here 15 years—

Ain is a healer, he's sweet but can be passive-aggressive and generally loves to fuck with people, he has a difficult time grasping emotions often, he has an anxiety disorder, and his definition of friendship is incredibly nebulous. Some of you have already gotten this but Ain very rarely registers negative CR, you can yell at him all you want but he'll sit there like :D we're friends! because his canon group of idiots are always arguing about something and this is just friendship to him. He... has only been around humans for 5 years he doesn't get it, okay.

for Stix: Ain runs the tailor shop and lives in the bunny bakery with Ezell. He likes gardening but he doesn't help maintain any greenhouses, he's just having fun. Despite being a healer he doesn't work in the clinic much anymore, he's largely focused on other things. You can come to him for healing still but he won't really be in there much.

Ezell is his fiancé. Wolfwood and Elsword are his boyfriends. Anyone else has dropped or died so oops.

Although Ain hasn't said anything to anyone, some people he's threaded with are already aware of it: his brain is currently borked due to the dream event, and Zahran in the library fixed the lingering nightmares to make them more dreamlike. This has the consequence that he's hallucinating all his fwiens from canon now to cope with solitude, so he might be spotted talking to them out loud sometimes. I don't think I'll harp on this tooooooo much for people outside of Ain's major CR but it's a thing for the foreseeable future.

I have no wild updates for once. I did opt to let him chill last month after all. I tried to hiatus him but as you can see that didn't work because he just neeeeeds to do all the tags forever.

Plans: Dude's still crashing out so. I'm probably largely going to keep him away from his own monsters. Good luck to anyone who finds them lol. I'm thinking traumamonster wise that his monster is going to look like his mother but at a stationary location, and her wails and sobs will cause such fun harmful mental effects like: extreme self-doubt, anxiety, depersonalization, and dissociation. And then she'll whack you with one of her swords.

That said he will be in Roseroot of course. Apocalyptic situations aren't new to him and aren't exactly triggering for him. That's normal for him :') Sighs. But he will be vacationing too before everything goes to shit! I'll have him act as a healer if anyone gets fucked up though.

Not Seeking: No death, no or minimal neg CR because of his crashout, and no new romances please... hell no returning romances either. Give him a sec to breathe.

Hiii hello twirls my hair. Here's my list:

- The death of his father. While for all intents and purposes, Cyrus murdered in an alley by two Castillan agents, the details are a little more gruesome than that. His wound wasn't immediately fatal, but he was inflicted by a poison on the blade that caused his veins to blacken and his body to undergo severe hemorrhaging. Luca was forced to kill him with his own blade in order to end his suffering.
- Everything that happened after the death of his father. "Aspen that's so vague." No I get it but basically waking up that his best friend and sibling had been forced to kill someone they both loved (besties dad), really fucked him up. He still lives with the thought that if he had been stronger, faster, etc, everyone would have been saved from this fate.
- Dying (and being revived) by the Phoenix. Basically, Luca had kind of resigned himself to death and was okay with it. Being dragged back and realizing that Cyrus never had to die to begin with (because Luca would have come back from any injuries inflicted) pretty much fucked him over terribly.
- EDITING TO ADD: I'm not sure if this is on trauma level yet but it's getting close: Learning that River might have just been using him for the sake of killing the beasts.

Okay so tempura for brains here really doesn't have a lot going on RE: trauma but there are three big ones I give you :)

- His First Mission. Nine of his fellow slayers (and friends) were murdered by the demon he came across.

- His Father's Decline into Alcoholism: Not only was it difficult watching his father slide into the bottle after the death of his mother, but the abuse (physical, verbal, and emotional) was extremely debilitating. Worse still was watching the same behavior be turned onto his younger, more vulnerable brother. Though Kyojuro tried to shield Senjuro while he was around, his own duties as a slayer (steadily multiplied as he covered and eventually took over for his father) kept him away for long periods of time. Sort of leads intoooo:

- His Own Death. The circumstances themselves don't necessarily fuck him up and he currently bears no ill will toward its perpetrator. However, the things that he knows he left behind — Senjuro and an already addled and grief stricken father, haunt him.

Character: Min-Gi Park
Canon: Infinity Train
CR: Min-Gi is a regular dude who's been in some very irregular situations even prior to Sticks. I thiiiiiink this is still generally not known due to his Extremely Normal vibes, but with traumas coming out this may well change. Especially since his mini-synth is powered up with a couple of different protective abilities now! Or will be by the time this plot kicks off. It would be neat for him to have more opportunities to do something other than run or play damsel in distress.
Plans: CW for body horror and near death, but Min's trauma will be a horrible hand monster he encountered on the Train. It's called the Docent and it's brutal. It hides in the shadows and exacerbates negative emotions and insecurities. Even if you can't see it yet if it's nearby you will feel cold and miserable. Its physical form is made up of hands and if it catches you it will add yours.
Not Seeking: Romance is about the only thing.

Character: Vildred Dayern
Canon: Epic 7
CR: As a fun/moderately different addition to my roster, Vildred is "just a guy". He's not a creature, he doesn't have magical powers*, he's literally just a fucking dude.

Okay he's a bit of a one-man army archetype but he is otherwise limited by being human. Also, when Rubie and I calculated his height he's standing at at least 6'5". So. Have fun with this beefcake.

Anyway, a short backstory is that he's a General in Ezera's order of knights, very cool and neat, and he's just a dork. This man is just a goofball who doesn't like when people are sad and he loves to tell jokes. He can be very serious oftentimes but also why be serious when can be joking?? Also highkey obsessed with Ras and in the closet.

The bigger lore meat is that his homeworld Orbis is constantly under attack by the Archdemon, because worlds must always have an apocalypse you see. Every time the Archdemon wins, the world gets reset by the goddess Diche and starts anew... so Vildred does not (yet) realise that he's lived six similar lives with different endings every time. He's usually telling Ras that he'll die for him and Ras is like "please stop doing this"... Ras seeks him out in every timeline. It's homoerotic. Anyway, Vildred specifically is taken from the end of the 6th timeline before he died there, the current game is on timeline 7. We will Talk about timeline 7 when I canon update in X months. :)

For Stix: He and Ras live in the dojo south of the river, across the way from the school/rec center. Vildred is currently going through a jealousy arc he's unaware of thanks to spin the bottle. It's great he's doing great. Also the last thing he remembers about Ras from timeline 6 is that they got into a little brief spat before they went off to war so he's kind of festering about that too. Man with emotional regulation, definitely.

Plans: Event-wise he will be all over the place. Hanging out at Roseroot. Not at all being shocked when there's monsters suddenly. Vildred himself doesn't have too much trauma beyond the obvious like, "he's a knight he's seen some shit" type things. Instead I'm going with the soul trauma, so we're gonna roll up with a massive, shambling, fully-armoured knight that has seven swords stabbed through various points in it. Each sword will be engraved with how he died in that timeline. Yes I'm aware he's not at the 7th yet let me bully him, he doesn't even know he's lived multiple lives yet! It'll be fun guys trust me.

Character: Thorns/Isidro
Canon: Arknights

CR: Thorns is a lot of things. In short: Pharmacologist, toxicologist, very smart but tends to unintentionally cause explosions whenever he's working, not very well put together (generally his shirt is inside out/backwards, he's missing a shoe, pants unbuttoned, hair fucked up, might've forgotten a sock... you know, the picture of a man with severe ADHD), doesn't care for his appearance, oblivious... also has a metal arm but it's Not a prosthetic it's just alchemy components that fused with him (it's complicated). His perms post on his journal has all his powers, it's a sort of ridiculous set (I also have yet to fix that the heart/mind essence are now just called Corazonix in the localization whoops). Most importantly he knows how to sail a ship and was Very Briefly a pirate before he instead became more of a seafaring reconnaissance & supply runner for Rhodes Island. Just know that he is not above doing a crime if it means that crime winds up serving the greater good.

Very specifically he can use his cool alchemy arm for various things (outlined on his perms page in the powers section) but the most important is that he can just. find shit with it. like a compass, or a dowsing rod. Surprise it has compass abilities. if you need shit found please hit him up.

Thorns also code switches very frequently. Any Spanish (Iberian) he speaks will be translated in hover text. Sorry mobile taggers this will be super unhelpful for you.

He is also Aegirian (Sea Urchin specifically) and like Mizuki, has ties with the Church of the Deep, except unlike Mizuki he fucking hates Seaborn and is very much struggling with the fact that y'all like them. He can slightly hear the Call, which essentially means he's been corrupted enough by being fed Seaborn secretly as a youth that he's slightly turning into one and joining the hivemind, so he tends to steer clear of the river and lies low when the evolved ones are flying.

He has a friend with him too, named Nene. Nene is a type of land-faring fishlike creature known as a saltfin and responds to commands and orders like a dog.

for Stix: Thorns has taken over the lab in Gnosis' absence IT'S MY BUILDING AND I CAN RECLAIM IT IF I WANT. This also means he's living in the living space back there. He briefly borrowed the clinic to run experiments on himself re: his Corruption... this did not go well but he's essentially made a biochemical weapon (yay?) that he will totally use and I will not forget he has. His goal was to reverse engineer the Corruption into a Suri poison. He will "work on this in the background" but he will not be successful because he is a mod character.

Him and Sidney are dating and he misses his bf Elysium who wandered off into the woods like 6 months ago and never returned. He's Fine he's not yearning.

Plans: Great question what am I doing with Thorns, uh

Honestly he's going to care more about the issue with the mountains than anything, but he will be in Roseroot. I'll probably be tagging out with him unless I think of something crazy in the next week. If you need a guy to dig into your issues that's him! He'll be nosey! Honestly he'll probably try to brew toxins from roses like a freak.

Flamebringer... sighs. Okay. Flamebringer is a Sarkaz ("demon" but that word is also a slur for them) (he will get Touchy about this) from Kazdel, which is where a lot but not all Sarkaz are from. Kazdel is a shithole of a country, like they don't even have flowers there it's real bad. Formerly, he could hear the voices of other dead Sarkaz and could feel their emotions/see their history, but that's no longer the case since he's been canon updated to Chapter 15. He's a little :| about his brain being quiet rn.

Flamebringer himself is someone who views any battle that isn't life or death as a waste of his time/abilities, and he's a "one-man army" archetype. His ultimate goal is one day to find a fight so good that he can die happy in battle, in this pseudo-suicidal way. He's not actively seeking them, but you have to be Worth Fighting in his eyes for him to raise his blade. As his name hints at, he's very proficient in fire-based magic. He's also Infected with Oripathy (stage 3 now due to Suri) (this man is dying actively, essentially at the point of no return now). For the new folks here Oripathy is basically cancer, but with rocks. Cutting yourself on the rocks on his skin will transmit the illness; he normally keeps them bandaged as much as he can, but the ones on his face are now unruly and hard to deal with without bandaging most of his head.

Kazdelian Sarkaz are the Arknights equivalent of Jewish & other Abrahamic religions, and they aren't even trying to hide this fact with FB because he wears a Star of David necklace. If you ever ask me about this factoid I will go on for 2 hours you have been warned.

As for Stix: He runs the tat/piercing shop, he lives in the bunny bakery with Ezell who is his fiancé and he will kill for, he helps out in the greenhouses... Suri took his left eye from him via Oripathy nodules growing into his optical nerve and severing it. Due to his Stage 3 Oripathy he's usually in intense amounts of daily pain, and sometimes hacks up shards of it in private. His worst nightmare is dying to this, so :')

He and Wolfwood are fucking. They're in an unlabelled relationship which is a shorthand way of saying they don't want to call themselves boyfriends or anything but they are weird about each other in ways that are unhinged and undescribable.

I tried to hiatus him last month and then he was like "I want to make out with people" and now he's trying to get in Ras' pants and i have to stop this before vildred kills flamebringer in the ultimate playercest move of the century.

Plans:

Flamebringer is a guy who is hard to pinpoint a trauma for because we don't actually know what he considers a traumatic event or not. That said I'm going to spin up a monster anyway, embodying the mercenary group he essentially is implied to have led to their deaths... which is like, seven assassins wrapped entirely in black robes and bandages to cover their heads. They don't move right and kind of jerk like the nurses in prior Silent Hill entries, and they'll freeze if you look at them. Unfortunately there are seven of them and they move in a pack so uhh don't look at one too closely lol.

- parents died when he was young. he was sent to an orphanage. the orphanage janitor used to beat children with a broom.
- he was "adopted" by Aulus, who is. "A PRIEST" for the church of the deep (the seaborn cult). when he was a very little Thorns, Aulus killed another child in front of him and while Thorns was crying about it Aulus said "his life wasn't worth it as he is now, but he'll be reborn" and then the corpse started fucking moving because Seaborn Cells. he has nightmares about this to this day lol.
- was made to do "magic tricks" (alchemy) in the street by aulus for money. the Iberian people used to throw rocks at him for this. he was probably 7 years old.
- lots of general cult hivemind doctrine got spewed at him
- Iberians in general are pretty racist to Aegir! usually the Inquisition comes around and rounds them all up and kills them, especially when he was younger.

Before most people head off for Roseroot, Astrid will have a dream of the mountains. Within the dream he won't see too much — just a blizzard and the dying embers of a campfire in a cave somewhere near the peak. The wind howls ominously, and he'll see several objects scattered about:

- a snapped sword, and a damaged glaive embedded into the earth next to it
- springtime flowers blooming out of the snow
- a crystal ball snapped in half
- a wagon of supplies missing its driver
- a stubborn tree refusing to shed its leaves
- a shimmering scarf, accompanied by the shrieks of something inhuman
- a bestial skull with chopped tentacles emerging from the eye sockets
- a warm-feeling orb of light
- a golden scale forming an aegis from the storm
- three trinkets depicting a moon, a sun, and half a black sun, floating in the air under a blueish coloured magic, and
- a glowing blue staff depicting a dreamcatcher, dimly flickering in the gloom as though it's trying to hold on

Astrid is an Elemagus, a type of human with animal features gifted with magic from birth. Usually it's just ears, so when Astrid was born also with a cat tail, their parents were so sure that they were going to amount to amazing things. However, only a few years into Astrid's life their dad skedaddled, leaving them and their mom to pick up the pieces. His mom ended up with several more children from several more failed relationships, all of which Astrid essentially had to mostly raise himself due to her issues.

Because of a big world changing incident in the past, parts of humanity had gone down to live in specialized bunker systems under the earth to survive. The surface was, after many many many years of them staying hunkered down, deeply inhospitable despite being green and thriving, full of monsters and magic that regular people couldn't contend with. It was only when Elemagi and their counterparts Armati began to be born that they were able to start having expeditions to the surface to try to take back their planet. It was doing one such expedition with one of their siblings in tow that Astrid ended up watching their younger brother die in a monster attack, something that left permanent scars and also a trauma towards fire magic. From there he was disowned by his mother, tried to go live with his father, was rejected by him for the second time, and has since been living alone being analyzed scientists so they could try to figure out how he works due to having a unique skillset.

CR: He has been in a bit of a funk since the dream ended, though its a toss up for what causes it. Sometimes he seems completely fine and the next he looks downright haunted. Your mileage may vary with him, but he’ll be friendly with those he doesn’t know for the most part if only to keep appearances up
Plans: He will go to Roseroot for one reason and one reason only- he at least wants the illusion of being free even if he knows this too will probably be taken from him. He knows nothing but cages and this place is reinforcing it. At least he can read the writing on the wall that this probably isn't real. I imagine he will wait a bit to leave unless he’s pressed to, since he’ll want to go with the rest of Cookie house.

CR: He’s finally coming out of his shell a bit and making friends! No one here has been overly mean to him, though he struggles a little with the fact most people around here are older than him. He will still sit you down and talk about his idol hyperfixation because that still has not died down
Plans: On the other hand Aira is going and has no gd idea this is weird until he gets there! I’m planning for him to get some major “wtf” here since his past life was raised in Roseroot. Not so much memories as deja vu.

Character: Chiaki Nanami (AI)

Created by a united effort between the Ultimate Programmer and his own creation Alter Ego, Chiaki is a computer program therapy AI used in something known as the Neo World Program designed for rehabilitation purposes. She took on the form of "Chiaki Nanami, Ultimate Gamer" because of the combined desire between all the remnants of Despair to see their dead classmate once again, and this became the basis of her personality and meaning of being. Her whole purpose and goal is to help guide the class, help them grow and heal, and give them a chance to see their beloved classmate once again. She very desperately wants everyone to get along, and does her best to be a uniting force and a peacemaker among them.

Video games are her passion, and by being the Ultimate Gamer (or copy thereof), she's considered the best of the best at playing video games. The original Chiaki excels at all genres and likes any game (even the "crappy" ones), but due to this Chiaki being an AI that doesn't entirely understand the full complexity of human emotion, she has trouble with dating sims and other games that require making dialogue decisions to influence friendship, due to the need to understand others, as well as concepts like love and romance. When she's playing games she gets extremely hyper-focused, and it can be hard to pull her out of it, though once you do she can manage to multi-task and play video games with utter concentration while talking to someone at the same time, and still achieve peak gaming performance. Sometimes she'll even forget to eat and sleep for long periods of time, or notably breathe, while playing video games.

Finally, this version of Chiaki has a tendency to be very sleepy with what I can only call anime narcolepsy, sometimes falling asleep on her feet or in the middle of doing things, and when she's first getting to know someone, she tends to talk very carefully as if she's thinking about the words she's choosing just a tiny bit too hard. This dissipates the better she knows someone, as it becomes easier for her to sort of predict the way that they act and react.

Plans:

Hope y'all ready for a bunch of Monokumas running around with various weaponry trying to murder you. They are very defeatable and full of mechanical innards, but are a bit worrisome in numbers. They are attempting to catch Nanami and recreate her execution from the game where she's crushed to death by a giant tetris block, but probably kinda improvised with a crane and trash and rubble. If you wanna try to save Nanami from being killed by a dancing hoard of Monokumas, that might be fun!

Character: Kyojuro Rengoku

Canon: Demon Slayer

CR: Boy Kyojuro really came out swinging. He went from having mildly aggravated injuries that needed decent downtime to being on bedrest. He's becoming fast friends with a demon. He said a slur at Flamebringer and then made out with him. Oh and also he stuck his hand in soup?

Anyway for those of you that haven't met this trainwreck, he's a "Flesh Eating Creature" slayer from Taisho era Japan. He is one of the best swordsmen in the corps, reaching the rank of Hashira. His sword skills invoke the power of flame (for realsies, don't listen to Gotouge I'm right not them)! He generally has a very warm and kind aura, and definitely thinks you're the best. No question! :)

Kyojuro is heroic to a fault. Unrelated, he's also dead! Don't worry about it, he got better. And the person who did it definitely isn't in the Grove or anything :')

Plans: STEP ONE: DO NOT THE MAN.

Which is to say. If Kyojuro takes one (1) single injury Joshua is going to probably have a heart attack! Unfortunately this may prove to be a problem because. You know. Guy who tries his best to be heroic. Definitely would love to have someone try to convince him not to stand up and fight or something like that.

That said, he will have some trauma monsters running around, namely related to his father and brother. If learning about some of his history interests you, hit me up. Related, this will probably come with some blanket CWs regarding alcoholism and child abuse so please keep that in mind! I'll have everything tagged accordingly, I just don't want anyone to sign up and be like "YEAH FRIENDS" and get smacked with a 2x4 of triggers

Not Seeking: Probably no grievous injuries or anything. I do want him to get back to the point of being able to train by some point, LOL. That said, he can get bonked and bruised. Anything else is fair game.
