as far as the Game goes. yeah a close quarters survive-a-thon will be good for him to not self-isolate.
Seeking: as usual please recruit him for any heavy lifting or dangerous tasks. preferably tasks don't involve a need for strong swimming bc he still isn't good at that.
also if any close CR [if you're nice to him he probably considers you close] wants to deal with him being a sad sack, you'll have opportunity :)
